Year in Review
This year has been such a trying year that started off
rocky and ended in a family tragedy. My husband and I came to Houston thinking we were going to start our new life in this new city and live happily ever
after. Boy was I wrong, things began to get tough for us but I refused to allow our circumstances to get the best of us. Mid year, I gained the confidence and inspiration to began unveiling some new chapters in my life and decided nothing or no one was
going to get in the way of my success or career path.
There were multiple ups and downs between my marriage filled with many days I didn’t think I could see it all through. Upon discovery, as a couple we decided
to learn how to communicate better to understanding one another, and accept each
other precisely for who we are. Throughout the year I recognized feelings and emotions that at first were causing me to cut and push people away, instead of dealing with the issue. I am still learning to have a open mind about things, and just enjoying life to the fullest. I’m in a different
space in my life and not interested in drama, stupidity, nor confusion.
Even though this was a tuff year for me, I made it through, I
can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I
now understand that life isn’t perfect, I am not perfect, and everything will NOT go as planned. So I’m ending my year with my head high not really
doing any new years’ resolutions but will continue to grow within myself as an
individual so i can be a better wife, a loving sister, and a truthful friend. Now lets talk about this outfit.
I just embrace this velvet and satin trend. I will be stepping in 2017 with a touch of sleekness, sexiness, and sass for the new year. I started my look off with this BooHoo Satin Lace Trim Kimono, ZJewels Black Crochet Choker, and a Black velvet cami from Walmart (On $5 Bucks, bargain I tell ya). The look was finished with a pair of my DIY feather shoes I made out of boa. If you guys are interested in a tutorial. Please comment below to let me know.
I want to end this blog letting all my followers know, be
true to who you are, don’t worry about what someone thinks of you, and just go with the flow. It was a pleasure blogging this year and I'm just ready to see what
the Lord has in store for my 2017. Stay positive and Happy 2017!
