My Divorce Story Part 1 |How God Turn Beauty from Ashes

Let me first say that I am not a fan of Divorce but when you rush the promise God has for you, you settle for a counterfeit. Don't rush God's timing.

The things I went through, I don't wish on anyone. Please be careful who you open yourself to because the enemy is here to steal, kill, and destroy (Read
John 10:10). And to be honest I almost let him kill me. I got married to a person who I thought was my forever, I'm a fighter so I thought I needed to fight for my marriage but when you're the only one fighting, you'll never see the glory of restoration in it.

“It's OK to fight for someone who loves you but it's never OK to fight for someone to love you.”

Big difference. I'm grateful for the journey and don't regret anything because I had to meet him, marry him, learn a lot of lessons, have my baby, and I had to get to this point of awakening with Christ. Painful but necessary. So I'm grateful for the journey and I thank God for seeing me through.

I’m FREE...Free from bondage, strongholds, and manipulation. Let me add that marriage can be heaven or hell on earth but its how your flourish it. It also can be a beautiful thing when both parties put the work every day, every moment to stand in harmony.

Remember: All things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose (Romans 8:28).

For me, my previous marriage was a lesson for me that had to take place but my future hubby will be a blessing from God (speaking into existence).

5 Top Ways to Face Adversity

Top 5 Ways to Face Adversity

Hey Sis,

This past week was a doozy for me and if you don’t know, I am in the mist of a divorce and dealing with your past spouse and lawyers can be a lot. My advice “ Allow God to choose your spouse, not you”. 🥴 If I can be authentic with you, ya girl broke down about 3 times in the last week. But guess what I learned‼️ Breaking down is good because God is close to the brokenhearted. Psalm 34:18

If you know me, you know I don’t like to be down for too long. I like to go through my process, get my lesson and dip! So I jumped out my funk real quick, prayed, apologized to people, and have been keeping my spirit man high.

As you guys know, life always happens but we have to learn how to respond to our issues a little different. So I wanted to help someone who may be going through issues in this current season.

This is something you may want to pin 📌 in your notes for future reference.

1. Breath.

Seriously take a moment and breath. Breathing (sometimes called diaphragmatic breathing) is a practice that enables more air to flow into your body and can help calm your nerves, reducing stress and anxiety. It can also help you improve your attention span and lower pain levels.

2. Alert 🚨 God on the situation.

You may say but God knows/ sees what’s going on but he gives us free will to seek him first and involve him in our every day life. We just don’t let our true father know and as women we like to control the outcome instead of lay it at his feet. Learn to give it to him and as pastor T.D. Jake's said this past Sunday at Lakewood,  Go to God with a idk spirit and humble yourself to receive his instructions https://youtu.be/z8myjTKf6qA

3. Listen to his instructions.

Sit in silence and listen. This is hard but with practice it can be done. Period 🙏🏽

4. Wait & Be Still.

During this separation heading to divorce, being still has been one of the hardest things I had to do and to this day I am still learning and understanding what it really means to "Be Still" and God has been revealing to me specifically how to implement these steps in my life.

5. Find Scriptures about your situation and go over them daily

This helps renew your mind daily and also a good way to remember the the word.

Sis, you have to do this every-time because one thing I have learned, is that life will happen but how you respond to it will show growth in your walk. My therapist gave me some good advice in our last session. She said to use every situation as a guinea pig experiment to better myself.

I hope this encouraged you to use the authority you have and combat them issues with the word of God.💞

How to Do a 10 Day Social Media Fast

Hi guys! It’s the time for me to fast from social media again and every time I complete an online fast it’s always such a refreshing feeling to take a break and spend more time with my thoughts/ feelings, my baby, and God.

Despite how 2020 turned out I have been on a grind so slowing down and doing other things than scrolling online is something I've been enjoying.

I typically complete a 10 day quarterly fast but with how things are going in my life, I think I want to implement these throughout the month to fall back when I feel overwhelmed, consumed, and things get too noisy.

There is a lot of different fasts that you can complete. I've completed a Daniel fast, a 40 day and 40 night fast, a weekly fast, and so forth. I focus on fasting from things I tend to go to the most to remind myself of the things I don't really need.

This year I started off doing a 21 day fast that extended for 40 days and it went great. I remember 2 days before my 21 days fast was ending. The holy spirit spoke and told me to complete a 40 day fast and I was like HUH!?

And guess what? A few days after that fast was over, I was able to get some insight about some issues I was going through personally and God revealed things to me so clear I knew exactly what I needed to do. During my current fast I didn't eliminate food, it was more about getting offline for a moment to unplug and take care of myself. Here are some easy steps to complete a social media fast and what to do afterward.

1. Plan out what you will do during your fast before you begin your fast.

  • This will help you not be subject to pick up your phone and get online because you will already know what to do.
2. Delete ALL Social media apps

  • Deleting all your social media from your phone will help you from going online and begin strolling back on the media.
3. Breath/Don't overthink things

  • If you feel as if you can't make it, breathe. It's ok, look at this detox as a reward, not a burden, and change your way of thinking.
4. Spend time with your family

  • I would say and friend as well but the way Covid-19 is set up, nobody's safe. But spending time with my son has been such a rewarding feeling.
5. Talk to God

  • Let me tell you, I'm not fearful for 2021 but I am not stressing about my dreams and goals. I am writing them down, working on my budget, brain dumping, and giving it all to God because we just don't know. So I would rather make plans but ask God to guide me through them if it's his will.

Doing these basic things has helped me during this time.

I'm working on a lot and all I can do is take things one day at a time and breath. I'm happy, refreshed, and ready for all God has in store for me.

What to do after your fast?

1. Clean up your social media.

  • A day before I get back, I typically delete people who weren't beneficial to feed, take any images down from more than 5 years ago, and prep for what images I want to post.

2. Review your social media

  • I like to go through my images and check out my insight for engagement, clicks to see what post are beneficial to my audience to see what worked and what didn't

3. Submit your Ideas to God

  • If there are any ideas on the table, I like to give them to God so he can direct my path

I hope these were helpful. Happy new years to you all. Praying your 2021 goes well in Jesus name.

My Testimony: From Hurt to Heal

Peace, blessings, and love to you all! 🍂✨ Happy Fall! I’m loving the cool breeze rolling in, but that also means it’s time to get my little one ready with his fall and winter gear. This season always brings a fresh start, but let’s be real—2020 has been a year like no other. If you’re still standing, take a moment and say Amen for God’s grace keeping you this far.

I’ll be honest—this video took a while to edit, and fear had a lot to do with it. I kept waiting for the right moment to put it out, but God spoke, and all I heard was: It’s time. So here I am, sharing the beginning of my journey.

If you’ve ever felt like healing is out of reach, I want you to know—it’s not.

  • Let the Holy Spirit walk with you.
  • Face the pain.
  • Allow time to heal your wounds.

Scripture of the day:
📖 Revelation 12:11 – “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the deat
h.”

I pray this encourages you. Watch the full video below. 🎥

How to Gain Peace in Trying Times?

In these trying times, peace is something we all can use. With Chadwick Boseman passing and the countless police brutality in the black community, we are tired. I’m like Jeez 2020 is not letting up but I think God for his peace to get me through the day, weeks, and months. I have learned that if I still have a breath, I still have a purpose.

During my quiet time with God, I learned 5 things about peace:

1. We should take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5)

What does that mean? One thing I know the enemy is good at is placing thoughts in the mind. He's good at suggestions. The same way he suggested to Eve to eat the fruit from the tree of life. Is the same way he suggest to us.Think about that. So it's best if we bring our thoughts to God and allow Him to guide us.

2. Peace is the antidote for anxiety

3. If it doesn't bring you peace, let it go

I’ve been through a lifetime of issues to know when my peace is being disrupted. I've learned sometimes you can't even bring certain things to people because their mental capacity can’t retain the perspective you're coming from. So give it to God and watch Him vindicate on your behalf, instead of you using your energy over things you can't control.

4. Peace is not given, it's who God is

The Lord is the prince of peace, it's to him we find it. (Isaiah 9:6)

5. Grace gives us peace

When I’m struggling with something, I always like to remind myself what God has done for me and that he can do the same for others whether I like the outcome or not. It's in his hands.

So take this week for you, take care of you, protect your peace and spend more time with the Lord with your prayers, your worries, and issues. He will give you all the peace you need. I hope you're encourage.

End of Summer Weekend Outfit-Faith Journey Update

This week was all about surrendering. Letting go and allowing God to take over and have his way when in the beginning he already has complete control. Its hard to let go of the things you think mean the most to you but in order to get to the next steps in life and really see the abundance God has for you, you have to surrender it all.

We are coming up in the next season of this year and there are some things that God wants to do in our lives. But there are also somethings that are holding us back.

The word for the week is transform.
Meaning: Make a thorough or dramatic change in the form, appearance, or character of.

This brings me to the scripture Romans 12:2
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

In this current state, I am working on some things within. The holy spirit is sharing with me in order for me to get to the next step. Its some things I needs to surrender. Whether its social media, my attitude, TV, lying, conversations, certain people or drama. I have to cut some things out, walk away from some situations, and remove myself from chaos in order for him to move in my life. Less of me and more of him. Sometimes we may look at this as its hurting us but in the end it was only meant to help us. One way to start the process is to change, we have to renew our minds.

I don’t know who this is far but God is asking you to surrender some things in order to get to that next step. Think about what  you just read, process it and let God in (which by the way, he’s already within).

Big CHOP!!! Watch Me Rock this Short Hair

Let’s just say its 2020 already and my baby will be 1. Times is just going by. But despite the time, I wanted to share my “Watch me Rock this short hair” story.
Ok guys so first thing first! I love love lovveee my hair. In my last trimester, I started noticing my hair follicles and roots. The moment I had my baby boy I noticed month after month, my hair was falling out.
By month 4 I was contemplating then I felt the urge to do it. So I called my brother, I had my clippers so went to slicing and dicing my hair. I didn’t wear my real hair out for 2 months after because I wanted to figure out how I wanted it styled. And I found the perfect haircut for Zak.
I get questions like: Why I did it?, am I ok?,  am I having a midlife crisis? And to answer those questions it more about me and where I am in life. I’m to a place where I don’t care about the opinions of others because most people give advice based off their own experiences and fears.
You have to do what’s best for you. I honestly don’t have time for hair. I have an 8 month old, a 9-5, and a business to run. The holy spirit whispered, cut that off. So guess what?!?!? I cut it.
I wanted something different. I was entering a new journey in my life (my 30th) and the cut just added a spike to my life. I feel great, I’m taking care of me, reading books, and feeding my spirit man.
It’s funny that folks always think you’re going through something to make you do something dramatically different. I love change, in change comes opportunities. I am not my hair but not having much of it has surely has me in a good space spiritually, physical, emotionally.
Do what’s best for you. Be the change you want to see, pray, and let the holy spirit guide you.

I’m loving my new look and I hope you guys too as well.
